Potential transfer.

I want to transfer to the following universities:

Georgetown, Carnegie Mellon, U. Penn or Cornell.

I intend to double major in Biology and Nursing with a minor in a language.

My question though is: I am also a devoted artist with an extensive and diverse amount of work in my portfolio. My work includes: paintings in acrylic, oil, and water color, drawings in charcoal, pencil, pen and other mediums, calligraphy, ink and wash painting, and photography.

I want them to show that I am not only smart and intellectually driven but also passionate about art, artistic, and diversely talented. I was wondering whether sending them my portfolio would complement my application in some way.

If you already have a portfolio, by all means send it! Many schools don’t look at them, especially since you aren’t applying for studio art. But there’s no reason not to send it, and it might work for some essay questions, as an example of your broad interests.

cornell doesn’t have a nursing major. you can send in a portfolio, but i don’t think it’ll be looked at as an important part of your app.
