Back in Fall 2012, while concurrently enrolled in high school, I got a D and an F in two classes at Coastline for a GPA of 0.5 with 6 units attempted. On my UC application, I stated that I had previously been on academic probation at Coastline after that Fall. I am now thinking that this might have been a false assumption. On their website I now see that a student must have attempted at least 12 units, as opposed to 6, in order to be placed on probation. I have already emailed the college to see what my true status was. If I learn that I was never in fact placed on probation, how would I go about correcting my application? Is this something that I can changing with the January update or would I have to notify each campus? If that’s the case, then how would I contact them? Another issue is that my explanation for academic probation and my bad grades are in the same text box, the additional comments in the academic history section. I’m hoping that they could simply annotate that I was not actually on academic probation instead of just deleting the entire text. If you are wondering, the grades themselves aren’t much of an issue now; I have received academic renewal and currently have a 4.0, I am just concerned about making a mistake regarding the probation question. If anyone could offer advice on what I should do, it would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Here is a link from Coastline about the aforementioned 12 unit condition: http://documents.coastline.edu/Admissions%20and%20Records/Academic%20Standards.pdf
