Oh, boo. I should have ordered sooner.
The lavender color seems to be available.
I ordered the blue. Late December will be fine. It just won’t be under the tree.
I ordered the blue also
I have All Clad D5 stainless pans, and the one I use the most by far is called the essential pan. Mine is 4 qt, but it comes in 3 and 6 also.
Other pan I use the most is a cheap, unknown brand non-stick that I use for omelette and they come out great.
I have a Circulon griddle/square bottom pan I have been using for pancakes for 25 years.
Costco has the Circulon premier professional 13 piece set on sale for $150. It has the most advanced DuPont coating. There are dishwasher safe non-stick pans, and show no signs of wear for us after 2 years, and the handles are silicon and always cool.
Costco also has a Circulon oval roasting pan with rack for around $30 for turkey, etc.
We have some Staub and LaCrueset enameled Dutch ovens and a large frying pan, and that is more then enough to cook most anything.
Do folks find they need a bunch of nonstick pans? For me, one frying pan or skillet is all I need with a nonstick surface.
I just ordered a set of Faberware pans from Kohl’s. (Black Friday sale)
They are 69.99 - 15%. = $59.49
There is also a $20 faberware rebate available plus $15 in Kohls cash.
Final price $24.49
Lodge is having a sale - $25 a purchase of $100 or more plus free shipping.
When I am pan-frying fish fillets for the 3 of us, or making pancakes, I use my 12" nonstick frypan on one burner and my 10" one on another burner. It saves time. When frying 1 or 2 eggs for myself I like to use my 8" frypan.
These are my only nonstick pans. The rest are all metal.
I have a complete set of Revere Ware and a huge Magnalite Dutch Oven that my mother gave me forty-two years ago. They have really stood the test of time, and I think about her every day as using them. (It isn’t possible to buy this stuff today… not the same quality, or company as far as I can tell)
One non-stick omelette pan replaced every few years. One lodge cast iron skillet.
The copper bottoms on the Revere Ware look brand new, cause I polished them every time like Mother recommended.
I ordered the Circulon Premium Professional set from Costco for $199. I didn’t see anywhere $50 off. The lids that drain seem cool. I hope I like them.
Hope you like them. They must have gone off sale at Costco. If you keep the receipt they will price adjust next time they go on sale.
My most recent purchase of several years ago was Calphalon Select- from Target. I definitely want the soft handles- no metal for me, regardless of temperature. I also don’t want the concentric rings of one brand- I prefer a smooth surface. I also have a set of KitchenAid pots and pans. Between the two and some assorted individual purchases I have all the sizes and numbers I desire.
I also do not want to pay a lot of money- much more frugal than most CC’ers it seems. What it’s worth, not what I can afford.
I remember my not nonstick Revereware with fondness but really appreciate nonstick surfaces.
I bought new pots and pans a few years ago, all Calphalon from Home Goods. Some stainless, one non-stick skillet. The handles have a rubber grip, which I like. I had Revereware from my mom for many years, but like the weight of my new pots and pans and they clean up very easily.
Update: LOVE the circulon premier set from Costco, especially the saucepans with the draining lids.
Tell me if I should start a new thread for this but…
I’m starting a kitchen remodel in a couple months (yay!) and am making the switch from a smooth top electric stove to an induction range. So I’ll need new cookware for that.
Any experiences or recommendations on induction-compatible cookware to share?
The Circulon premier professional are induction compatible.
