Powerscore SAT Bibles

Are they worth the money $70 for the three books?

I plan on improving from 1500 to 1900, I need as much reliable sources I can get. I already have:

Blue Book
Barrons
2400 book written by Patel
Barron SAT Index Cards
SAT Online Collegeboard (expired)

Anyone used these books are they worth it?

Hi, As a high school student myself(12th ), I was wondering what SAT books to buy. I have been into these books since middle school eighth grade and in my house there are a bunch of these books from Princeton to Barron to Kaplan to PWN the SAT math, Virtually every single 5 stars SAT book on Amazon. I have found out one thing. ALl of the high reviews were written by the author themselves. Check the date the review was written. There are 10 ( 5stars) in that particular single day. Then after that, no review appears. It seems that the author take one day off just to advertise their books.
Personally, I suggest just using the Bluebook and Barron. I have tendency to go with Barron since it is harder. My scores has gone up 400 over the summer!!!
Happy Studying.

Also, not alot of people are SAT book fanatics like me which is why you waited so long just to see a reply…
Good Day…

I’m a big fan of them for obvious reasons.

They were just rated the Number 1 SAT prep books for 2013 by About.com. And I assure you, I have no connections to About.com.

I don’t think all reviews on Amazon are written by companies. It would be very difficult to pull this off, since you have to have an Amazon account that has purchased something in order to create a review. When I’m looking to buy something on Amazon, I take a couple of the best reviews and a couple of the worst reviews (because competitors like to write bad reviews) and throw them out. The reviews that are left will give me a clear picture of the quality of the item.

If you have any questions about the books, feel free to send me a message. I can also direct you to free chapters so you can check them out.

I thought the SAT Math Bible was great and it helped my score. I am working on the Reading Bible now and it’s even better. My writing score is okay so I doubt I’ll get that one. But the other two have been definitely worth the money.

@PSVicki Thanks for the unbiased review. I am thinking about these books and may decide to take the plunge.

I used a combination of the blue book and princeton

I used all three and liked them a lot. Very comprehensive, and lots of practice problems. With those, the blue book, and Dr Chungs, I did finally did well on the SAT :)
