Ok, I am an incoming junior and have decided to begin studying for the PSAT. I went to the college board and starting taking their offical PSAT from 1999. However, I found this practice test to be extremely difficult and controversal. When I took the PSAT as a sophomore, I received a 690 on CR (not great, but for a sophomore it is isnt bad). However, I was missing literally every other question on some of the practice passages on the CR. Therefore, I was wandering if the test has been changed since 1999 to make the CR easier on the PSAT, or am I in trouble?

Before the writing test was introduced, Critical Reading was MUCH harder (not to mention the dread analogies section). Thanks to the University of California, the College Board had to become politically correct.

I remember reading an SAT prep book that says we can use this to our advantage. No passage ever talks **** about women and minorities.

Great! This was after 1999 then…rite?

Yes, the “new SAT” was introduced in 2005.

Cool. One other thing…this affected the PSAT diffculty too right?

THANKS!
