Practice SAT does this matter?

First of all does taking the pSAT as a junior even matter? I didnt because I was going to take the real SATs the next week anyways. But all of my teachers said that I should have taken the PSAT but they never said why.

Secondly, I took a practice SAT about 3 and a half months ago and never recieved my answers back. only a score. Then I retook the same test a week ago. I did improve. But my question is does that make a difference?

I was familiar with the stories and math questions but had no idea what the answers were. Does taking the the same test eariler mean that the score I just recieved is insignificant?

Thanks

1- you should take it for the NMSQ scholarship

2- the score is insignificant.

just buy the collegeboard book and take a practice test yourself…

y is the score insignificant? Is it because I already took the same one? But i didnt know any of the answers…

better word = invalid (my fault)

its invalid b/c you are already familiar with it. you already have an idea of whats going on and every little bit helps. why not just take another test? you’ll get more practice too.
