Practicing in Foreign Countries?

I am curious if their are any attorneys here that have practiced in a foreign country. Such as Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Belize, Bolivia, England etc. …

I would want to practice real estate and animal law.
What are the rules, requirements etc.

Thank you

Have not practiced in other countries but unclear of what you are really asking. Being a US lawyer does not mean you can practice law in another country and being a lawyer in another country does not mean you can practice law here.

Yeah, in this way law is very different from medicine. A pancreas in Costa Rica isn’t very much different from a pancreas in the U.S., but the same can’t be said for real estate law.

Well I got the idea after reading this article
[Practicing U.S. Law in Another Country : GPSolo Magazine - July/August 2006 - ABA General Practice, Solo and Small Firm Division](http://www.abanet.org/genpractice/magazine/2006/jul-aug/practicinguslaw.html)

I plan on traveling and thought it would be a great way to gain more experience, internationally.
