<p>Hey. I am currently a high school student. Now, before you bash me, please just hear me out. Lets just say I am going to be a lawyer.</p>
<p>I plan on going to a community college first and transferring to a good school I want to attend. I screwed up in high school. Is this a good or bad idea?</p>
<p>Next. I plan on attending Rutgers University afterward or possible a university in the city.</p>
<p>I do NOT want to go to a powerhouse law school like Columbia or Cornell, all of my relatives and some of my friends’ dads’ (no kidding) all went to RU law and took the bar for NJ and live in NICE houses and love their jobs. </p>
<h2>I have ZERO interest in working in NYC at a BigLaw firm. All I really want is a stable job with a nice income for one single person. An annual income of 150k is more than enough for me and I do NOT expect to make this out of law school. I DO expect to make something in the range of 45-80k. Maybe 60-70? I don’t know…that is why I am posting this.</h2>
<h2>You guys can comment on the salary thing but I’d rather you focus on my next point.</h2>
<p>Does New Jersey have a pretty good market for attorneys?</p>
<p>Like all attorneys? Patent, Corporate, whatever…or should I look into taking the bar for NY/NJ/ and possibly Penn? Or will NJ suffice?</p>
<p>I know I’m in high school but I really want to know the answers to these questions.</p>
