Practicing reading passages will improve my scores?

is this gona work? if i keep practicing the reading passages using the CB official guide. or do i need to learn the basics in rocketreview or w/e helpful sources.
by the way, does anyone have the tests, in pdf or comp, from the past that would like to share , please send them to me.
i know this sounds very silly ,but it’s worth a try but i need to burn more practice tests, i mean actual tests. =/

No, practicing passages will not help you AT ALL

Really just ask yourself, how would it not help? It’s what you have to do to get better! You need to change the way you do the passages though. I did that mistake. I went through all 8 practice tests not really changing the way I do them, just taking them for the heck of it, and I was short on practice tests afterwards. After you take a practice test, see why you got some of the questions wrong and try to see if you can prevent it or identify a common flaw that you have. You need to improve your reading speed and comprehension by reading articles and training yourself to read quickly and to get what the passage is asking.

I don’t read the passages at all. I read the question first and then skim the passage for where the info is (look for key words, transition words), then read that section. Works great for me.
