prayer

“God grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, courage to change the things we can, and wisdom to know the difference.”

This is the prayer for everyone who will be rejected/deferred in early…we need to accept it and prevent the decision from ruining our regular applications…

amen to that :)

ya, that’s an awesome quote

who said it?

It’s a well known prayer called “The Serenity Prayer”. They use it in AA and other recovery programs, and though its been cited used earlier, Reinhold Niebuhr is given credit for authoring it.

That prayer has some odd associations in my mind after reading Slaughterhouse Five.

Ya, I read Slaughterhouse-Five earlier this year. It’s a quote that makes people think, “how wise,” but it’s totally ironic within the context of the book.

hehe i’ve already ruined my rd chances by now, very likely the only result of my ed, lol.

helen why do u say that? i thought the acceptance rate for deferred ED kids was higher than the regular RD rate

are any stats available regarding deferred kids who were accepted in the regular round?
