Hello,

guys, I have a following problem in my schedule and would appreciate any advice.
The situation is next, due to conflict in my schedule I will either take (generally) Pre-Calculus or APUSH/APLang sequence this year as a sophomore (and I was made exception for APUSH as I’m in 10th grade so that was pretty hard earned to lose :)). Pre-calculus is overfilled for period where I have APUSH/APLang.

I’m not sure I need Precal because as far as I know, pre-calc only teaches trigonometry and some basic concepts of calculus. The other fact is that I’m not that bad at Math and will probably be bored during class(I’m self studying calculus and lin.algebra right now). So, I’m planning to go for dual-enrollment calculus/dif.eqs in Junior year as dual-enrollment classes in comm. college.
I will definitely enjoy APUSH/APLang because, as far as I heard, it’s a hard class and I like writing :)

However, what I’m worried about is that I’m not taking any official math course in 10th grade and I’m planning to go somewhere for engineering/physics major. Do colleges seriously don’t like lack of math course for one year for mathematics-oriented major? Does my “heavy math” junior year back that up? Does research back it up(I’m researching in molecular/quantum physics field at university).
I would say “Thank you” to anyone who’d post :)

PS. For those that like schedules, here are mines:
Schedule A: Pre-calc
1st semester:
AP Chemistry first part
Health/Comp – required
AP Government
some non-important course which I’ve forgotten of
2nd semester:
AP Chemistry second part
Pre-Calculus (no honors available)
Princ.Tech – some elective
Honors English 10th

Schedule B: APUSH/APLang
1st semester:
A. AP Chem 1st sem
B. Health/Comp – required
C. APUSH/APLang 1st sem
D. some non-important course which I’ve forgotten of
2nd semester:
E. AP Chem 2nd sem
F. APUSH/APLang 2nd sem
G. Principles of technology
H. forgot, sorry

PPS. I won’t have less than five years of math if you count college quarter as a year :)
