<p>OK, so I got into a 5 year accelerated dental program at the University of Pacific… However, I’m not sure whether I want to go into dentistry or medicine yet. My dad wants me to go into dentistry because he is a dentist and can impart knowledge to me. I will most likely go to Tufts next year and they have this program where they admit students with above a 3.5 gpa into their dental school. However, my dad fears that I wouldn’t be able to get into any dental school if I apply when I’m in college… Would you think is true?</p>
<p>wat? Why would your dad think that? Is he predicting your failure? Go to Tufts next year and gain experience in both fields. See which fits you best. Make good grades and get involved early in research and community work. You can probably do whatever you’d like as long as you are intelligent and put in the work. Listen to your dad but don’t let him completely direct your life…</p>
