Hey everyone,

I got a letter in the mail recently from the College of Engineering about the Pre-Engineering Program (PREP). It’s an 11 day program from August 10th-20th. It’s for incoming freshmen students and it’s completely paid for by the National Science Foundation and the Berkeley College of Engineering.

I was wondering, does anyone know anything about this?
like has anyone gone to this program in previous years or is planning on doing the program this year?

Thanks :)

My son got this too. Anyone have any info on this???

I just figured it out… My son is not the target demographic for this program.

i got the same letter and i kinda wanted to know about how it was too. did anyone go to this program before?

lol i got the letter too, but when they describe who the program is aimed at i dont necessarily fit the description. whatever, i wouldnt mind moving in 12 days eariler!

I got it too. Who’s planning to do it? Who has done it before? Advices please.

Were all CoE freshmen sent the letter? How selective is the program? It seems that there are many interested applicants but only a few dozen spots.

It says from the letter that all engineering freshmen are eligible to apply.

Bump… any info? Past participants??

@ActuallyActuary Here [PREP Frequently Asked Questions — UC Berkeley College of Engineering](http://coe.berkeley.edu/students/bpi/prep/prep-frequently-asked-questions.html) says that 40 are selected.

bump, i need to know if i should do the application or not. thanks!
