pre-engineering question

Currently, I’m attending my local community college working on getting an associates then transfer to a four-year university in Mechanical Engineering. The college offers a pre-engineering program which I’m kind of curious about. I know the point of the pre-engineering program is help follow a transfer curriculum but If I were to apply for a part-time job/internship…

Is it better to have a Pre-Engineering or Computer Science (same requirement, 3 extra class) on my resume? Just to show…

I was thinking that I would land more interviews for Computer Science than Pre-Engineering unless there is no difference…

Need your opinions.

I don’t see how it will help your resume unless it’s an AS or something and qualifies you for a job right away. Generally , pre-engineering includes single/multi variable calc , phy w/ calc 1 and 2 and so on. I can’t see how just those type of courses will help you get a job.

That’s what I thought too… What about Computer Science? I do take physics/calc + programming courses as well, I don’t know if that helps, plus I have a background in programming so basically it’s just something to put on the resume to qualify for an interview at least.

Also, when you mention AS, did you mean associates of science or applied science?
