<p>I have started this thread in conjunction with an “Ask a pre-health student anything” below, but hopefully this will give pre-health people here on CC more info about a decal being offered while decal.org site is down. While this decal is new, it is headed by a team of 12 who have strong backgrounds in advising and mentoring students who are new to Cal or are just confused about what they want to pursue as a profession.</p>

<p>Interested in medicine, pharmacy, optometry, dentistry, nursing, physician assisting, or all of the above? Then sign up for the Pre-Health DeCal being offered Fall 2011 on Thursdays, 6-7:30 pm in 101 Moffitt!</p>
<p>This course is designed to help students at Cal gain a well-rounded insight into the possible pre-health professions that you can pursue as an undergrad through a survey of different health professions through presentations and speakers. We plan to devote certain weeks of the semester going over the application process, professional school years, and careers of each specialty to help students gain insight into each field. We also seek to help students become successful applicants to each school through guidance through the Cal curriculum and possible extracurriculars such as research, shadowing opportunities, volunteering, and more.</p>
