Pre-Managerial Economics Major at UCD

Hello,
I applied to UCD as a Pre-Managerial Economics major. I just had one question about actually declaring the major. UCD states:

Major Entrance Requirements. Students may enter the Pre-Managerial Economics major while completing the major preparatory requirements.

Acceptance into the pre-major does not guarantee automatic admission into the major. Before declaring a major in Managerial Economics, a student must complete the following courses with a combined grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.800. All of these courses must be taken for a letter grade. In determining admission to major status, the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics counts only the first repeat of any pre-major course.

Economics 1A and 1B — 8 units

Statistics 13 — 4 units

Mathematics 16A and 16B or 21A and 21B — 6-8 units

My question is: What if I took all of these courses at my community college? Would they use my cc gpa to determine my status? And does this mean that I have to apply to the major once I get to UCD even though I already completed all of the courses prior? Any information would be great, thanks!

No idea! You probably don’t have to take the pre-reqs again, so they might look at your CC GPA and the GPA and the first major courses you’ll take at UCD.

Yeah I thought that’s what they would do too, but I was still unsure of how they determine the status. Thanks for the info though!

Anyone at UCD that transferred as a pre-managerial economics major have any other info to share with me? (Besides the catalog stuff because I’ve read all of that many times haha)
