My college-bound child has gotten into Cornell CALS, OSU Honors (with scholarship), and UNC Chapel Hill. Any advice on which is the best option for pre-med and getting into medical school? And does anyone know about the pre-med advising at any of these schools? Thanks!!
My advice–choose the school that offers the best combination of affordability, opportunity and fit.
The name of the diploma offers very little benefit when it comes to medical school admission. Admission is largely driven by GPA, sGPA, MCAT plus “soft factors” like ECs, LORs, and personal statements/ admission essays.
I would suggest choosing a undergrad where your student is in the top 25% stats-wise of admitted students.
Thank you
