<p>I was accepted to wisconsin and had planned on attending there, when 2 days a go i received the news i was accepted off the waitlist at cornell university. i am from new york so that is enticing. i just want to know if pre-med is cut-throat competitive everywhere and it is just a crap shoot for where you go. obviously i want to do well where i go so that i can go to medical school. i just don’t know where the best place for me would be. is pre-med at wisconsin just as competitive and cutthoat as anywhere else is?</p>
<p>I’d say not so much. If you could manage to wrangle instate residency along the line, it’s a straight shot to UW Med School which takes over half the class from UW-M.</p>
