Pre-Med major

At my school, the physics department is not very strong. The books seem to have been written by a child (they round the force of gravity to 10) and the teacher actually holds a geology degree. All in all, students do not gain much from this program, and I am reconsidering not taking it. Would this be detrimental to my application as a pre-med student or to a College of Science at a larger University?

Thanks for the insight!

If your grades will suffer by taking a course where you earn nothing, don’t take it. But if you will walk away from the course with better knowledge of physics then take the class. If you decide to not take the class I doubt colleges would hold it against you if they knew the deoartment wasn’t very strong. However, I think most colleges want you to have taken physics. I hope this helps.
