So what is an employable undergrad degree if I didn’t want to do engineering?
Applied math, actuary, nursing (but you need to pass the boards- and you need to really want to become a nurse), IT and related, construction management, elementary education?
There are lots of jobs where you just need a Bachelor’s in something (anything)… management track in the hospitality industry (cruise, theme park, hotel, restaurant, car rental, etc.); many jobs in insurance and retail banking, management track in retailing…
What are you interested in studying?
If you are interested in health care, many of those jobs will require grad school but the programs are shorter than med school- genetics counseling, occupational or speech therapy, hospital and health care management, public health…
Thanks but I dont want to be a nurse. Id never heard of actuary but I just googled it and seems interesting. I dont have much love for IT either.
You don’t need to pick your entire adult career/life right now.
You can major in math and leave the door open for lots of different things. You can major in Econ, history, urban planning, etc. and go into a bunch of different fields.
thanks so much for taking the time to respond Im going to look into some of these options.
What are you interested in if not med school? You don’t need to know this now.
