I understand how important GPA is to medical school admissions.
I’m choosing between Boston College, Northeastern University (Honors), and Elon University (Honors).
I’m assuming (probably not safe to do so) that I will be able to achieve the highest GPA at Elon, the least academically rigorous. As far as acceptance into medical school goes, does anyone know if/how they factor in the academic rigor of the school? For instance, if I attend BC, will they accept me because of the name, or do I have a better chance of acceptance with a slightly higher GPA at Elon? Or what will medical schools prefer: a regular BC graduate or an Honors graduate from NE or Elon?
Any and all comments are appreciated, thank you! !

Except for a handful of top brand name 5 or 6 schools, the name on your diploma really won’t make any difference regarding your admission to medical school.

It’s not the school; it’s what you do there.

Choose the school that offers the best combination of academics, opportunities, fit and affordability.

And your assumption—you’re right, it’s not necessarily true that you’ll end with with a higher GPA at Elon.
