<p>Could someone give me a quick list of these clubs at SBU? Basically, any clubs/organizations related to getting into Med School or for an interest in science or helping others (volunteering at the hospital nearby).</p>
<p>Also, there is a 55 wait list for my orgo class. I am scared I won’t get in. What do you think. Thank you.</p>

<p>The 2nd link has some out of date contact info and such because it’s from 06-07 club registration, but the descriptions might be useful (some of them are dumb because they’re culled from the mandatory club reg forms, and are are written at the last minute to make the university happy, not necessarily to attract members).</p>
<p>If you want to volunteer at the hospital, you can always just contact them directly. It’s just a short walk away, after all.</p>
<p>I think the only actual pre-med club is the Pre-Med Society (which makes sense… do we really need more than one?), and although I’ve seen their flyers around every once in a while, I don’t know much about them even though I’m pre-med. Never been sure what they actually do and where their budget actually goes, since I don’t see much about them having events (maybe they’ve got good food at their general body meetings… I’ll have to check that out
