<p>The coach at a D2 school we’ve been talking to asked for my son’s transcripts to do a pre-read on him. They have no athletic scholarships left for the team next year, but have guaranteed him a spot on the roster next year as a walk on. </p>
<p>In asking for the pre-read from admissions, does this mean we will know about any academic scholarships my son might qualify for? Will we get some kind of letter from the school or coach about his acceptance and/or academic scholarship?</p>
<p>Has anyone experienced being a walk-on at a D2 school? What did the coach do for you as far as admissions and/or financial aid?</p>
