Pre reqs not started and want to transfer in fall of 2013.

In Ms Sun’s blog, it says, “You should aim to complete ALL major prereqs by the end of Fall term prior to transfer. When scheduling major prereqs and general education courses, always take the major prereqs first. Your academic preparation for your major carries significant weight in the admission evaluation process and having the grades available for evaluation will give you an advantage.”

I just decided on majoring in international relations/global studies and only have taken statistics and macroeconomics. I probably won’t be able to take all the other prereqs in the summer before the fall before I transfer. Will this hurt my chances of getting into a UC?

Can’t you just complete the pre-reqs in the fall?

I applied last year, but changed my major right after. Spent spring 2011 and fall 2012 taking prereqs. I’m still taking one now (winter) and have one left in the spring. I can’t say for sure, but I don’t think it’ll hurt significantly.
