Predicted IB Grades for Brown?

I am an IB student from outside the U.S and was wondering how high Brown expects the Predicted Grades to be? I’ve heard around 35, however that seemed a little low to me?

I asked the international admissions officer herself and she said Brown usually expects at least 38 points (without the bonus points for EE/ToK).

so 38/42 (usually)

Depending on which country you come from, you really should be looking at a 40+; Brown doesn’t admit that many internationals and if you come from a country where there are quite a few strong 40+ applicants, the 38 that the admissions officer says in a bare minimum really doesn’t cut it…

Well, if we pretend that a 6 = A, then 36 points would give you an average of 6, and then we could pretend that that meant an A average. But, I would say that 36 is on the lower end. As far as 40+ goes, I don’t really think that that’s Brown’s expectation, but, like EphemeralEternal said, if there are a lot of applicants from your country with 40+, that might put you in a different situation.
I have 38 points, plus 7 from a 7th subject, and I’m not terribly concerned about that at all, considering the fact that I’m probably the only applicant from Bosnia.
