Preferential Application Forms

how do you get those applications that you dont have to send in transcript or anything and they giver you a response i like2 weeks or something…my friend got one from rpi and wpi and she got into both!! how do u get one???

I was unaware of any school that doesn’t eventually require a transcript. But schools that will give you a response in two weeks are called rolling admissions school.

http://admissions.rpi.edu/update.do?artcenterkey=24&setappvar=page(1)

Candidate’s Choice Application? See halfway down the page…

I got a few - some of the schools I visited like Univ. of Vermont (large state school safety) and Brandeis (visited for sister but I had some interest too), and some from schools with no prior communication probably based on SAT/PSAT scores and high school, Univ. Pittsburgh, Tulane, Randolph Macon, Christopher Newport and I think a couple other. My sis got offered a full ride from Arizona State b/c of national merit.

All of these though were about the same and required transcripts, but generally no recommendations and didn’t require a new essay (could send a graded paper, but I had already written a common app essay).

Most people get preferential applications by getting ACT/SAT scores in the top percentiles (probably 32+ ACT and 2100+ SAT [it could vary from school to school]). However, all the ones I’ve been aware of have required HS transcripts… just no extra stuff like essays or application fees (like everyone else said)
