oh noes! Well to put it in perspective, Yale has 69% yield.

Here’s to hoping Eric Furda has some good tricks up his sleeve.

Under the crazy circumstances of this year–and considering the yield drops at other schools–I’d say that a 63% yield is actually pretty good. But Penn is clearly going to have to pursue some high-gear expansion of its applicant pool to keep its admissions stats heading in the right direction, and I suspect that’s where Furda–with his extraordinary success at Columbia–comes in.

he’s got to be smart. After all, he was an IR major at Penn ;)

We won’t hold that against him. :p

By the way, I heard Amy speak today at Alumni Day (didn’t see YOU there, however ). She said that although this continues to be a crazy–and exceedingly LONG–admissions cycle, the Class of 2012 is shaping up to be the best class ever by all measures (GPAs, SATs, ECs, etc.).

^yay penn '12!!! they kept saying that at previews but i thought they’d say that to each class every year.

didn’t she mention hotness as well?

well hotness is starting from such a low base its hard not to improve :P

I was in New York getting visas for my upcoming trips
