<p>Now i have heard both stories but i need to know which you think is better.</p>
<p>Should I go to a harder school (brandeis/tufts/lehigh/umich) if i get into them and lets say get a 3.5 gpa or go to a easier school (top 65-100) and get a 4.0. </p>
<p>Assuming that on my MCATS i do the same, which student is in better position.</p>
<p>Going to an “easier” school doesn’t mean that you’ll get a 4.0. Who knows, you might be more motivated being around more intelligent, hard-working peers in a “harder” school and do as well there as you would in a less prestigious school?</p>
<p>Higher ranked schools often have higher GPA averages too. Taking your comparison as given though, a 4.0 would definitely be better.</p>
<p>if you think you’re going to get a 4.0 at any respectable college, go for it! IMHO, though, you’re dreaming ;)</p>
<p>It looks like you have performed well enough in high school that you should be going to the most challenging school you are able to get into and afford.</p>
