Premed with Polisci or Econ major

Hello everyone.

I am just curious as to which major, in hindsight, would be “better.” Yes, i do realize that doing something that interests you is the best, but as a rising freshman i still have yet to take any courses. So if anyone has any pros or cons of 1 or the other from experience or what not I’d be grateful

Thanks.

If you are referring to backup plans at the bachelor’s degree level if you do not get into medical school, you may want to look at the http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/internships-careers-employment/1121619-university-graduate-career-surveys.html</a> .

Knowing absolutely nothing about either field’s job prospects, I would have to say economics. But mostly because economics involves taking math, which is portable and useful for jobs. A polisci major sounds like it wouldn’t really be that different than an history major.

bump for more opinions. thanks!
