Prep School grade point scale? Calculating GPA?

Does anyone know the how to calculate GPA for prep schools? I think the generic one is A=4.0, B+=3.3, etc, but do prep schools calculate it differently and have a different scale?
MY grades for this term with no AP classes is B, C+, B+, B, B in a prep school. What is my GPA?

It can vary, but this is the typical conversion. The basic is 4.0=A, 3.0=B, 2.0=C. The variability usually comes into play in how your school defines those - and + grades.

4.0 = A+ = 90 - 100%
4.0 = A = 85 - 90%
3.7 = A- = 80 - 85%
3.3 = B+ = 77 - 80%
3.0 = B = 73 - 77%
2.7 = B- = 70 - 73%
2.3 = C+ = 67 - 70%
2.0 = C = 63 - 67%
1.7 = C- = 60 - 63%

That conversion is really, really odd compared to Denmark. Your As is our Bs and when we apply for HS or College in USA, we look stupid….

classical mamas chart is correct as to the 4.0 to letter grade scale not to percentages.
According to College Board, your friendly neighborhood SAT folks, A- to A+ = 90% - 100%, and so on down the line.
Most private schools tend to give an A+ = 97-100% = 4.3, the rest of the 4.0 scale is correct.
Young Dane - most US educational institutions know how to convert international grades into the US ones, so there will not be confusion on that end.

My bad. I confess I cut and paste that in quickly after checking the conversion to letter grade, without looking at the numerical percentages, which are really off. I’ll amend it here–though the numerical percentages will still vary, depending on the school.

4.0 = A+ = 97 - 100%
4.0 = A = 94-96
3.7 = A- = 90-93
3.3 = B+ = 87-89
3.0 = B = 84-86
2.7 = B- = 80-83
2.0 = C = 74-76
1.7 = C- = 70-73
