I’m trying to get a scholarship to a prep school.

I expect that my interview will be OK.

I think you have a good chance.
The humanities/communications is interesting to me. You’re very well rounded, just make sure you have a focus too that you emphasize on.
For the ssat’s, get Princeton Review and Peterson’s practice books. Princeton Review is very useful for vocab. The Peterson’s is a bit harder and tests fast/detail-based thinking. Both were very helpful to me. I’ll be taking them tomorrow…-nervous-

Good luck! I’m taking mine December 11th but I’m so nervous. on my practice SSAT I got 98th percentile math, 97th reading, and 69th verbal. but I got the Princeton Review SAT vocab note cards and Im studying them, plus Im studying roots, so hopefully I can bring up that verbal score! It’s funny that I’m in a writing program and my best subject was math and my worst was verbal.

Verbal can be hard and unpredictable. I took the test today and I know I did good on the math (97% or so) and probably pretty good on the reading (92% maybe) but for the verbal I don’t know. I’m hoping for the 70’s (again it’s not my best). And I took it last year twice just for practice so I can say it varies a lot. The best bet is if your taking it in December to not send your scores to schools until you see them if your not confident there going to be okay (although school’s will take the best score in each section if you do send multiple sets of scores). Because the verbal varies, since you can either know the words or not, you might benefit from taking it again in January and sending those scores too!
