D’yer Maker - which one is more accurate? 33 and 52? or 126 and 187?

Is this rankin based on the SSAT score?
So, do you have the list of 250 schools you mention above?
If you do, can you list them?
Thank you.

Exactly!/jdshkjhjfsdhf/

D’yer Maker

What do you mean by exactly?
I don’t think that’s the answer to my questions.
So, do you have the list of 250 schools basaed on the SSAT Score for year 2006 or 2007? If you do, can you list them?
I really need to get those lists, but having a problem finding it somewhere else. Since you said that you have the list, it would be very helpful to me
if you list them.

The gods have smiled on you by not rendering unto you the aforementioned lists. Based on your desperation and persistence, I don’t think you understand how to handle such a critical mass of radioactive material. More importantly, far be it from me to interfere with the Good Fate the gods have apparently ordained for you. Figure out which school is best for yourself. At least give it a shot. Then you can publish and sell your list to some naif who is sure to come along as I’m likely to post a lengthy non-sequitur on this message board.

Remember, Grasshopper, the more you need the rankings, the less you need them.

EDIT: Has anyone noticed how many views this thread has received?

Well, I don’t get your intention.

The following is what you posted on 06/12/07.

Okay, this one took a while because I had to write numbers 1 - 250 on teeny tiny slips of paper. So, sorry for the lag time since the last post.

That’s why I asked you if you can list them.
Also, the more someone needs the rankings, the more that person needs them. No one asks for the information that’s not nessasary!!!

D’yer Maker – admit it, you’ve met your match!

Does anyone know hoe TP ranks?

According to one list I saw, T-P is 33rd. There is another list which ranks it 50th. Take your pick and run wid it.

guys-- don’t judge schools by percent of ivy matrics. there are plenty of great schools that aren’t ivies, and plus there are a bunch of idiots who have attended ivies.
eh hem, GW?

ahh i just laughed my head off reading the last two pages of this thread…they’re old from last year but hilarious XD
wonder where shiny went.

When I spent a week touring schools on the east coast (I’m a Californian), there were three schools I was semi-convinced I was going to end up applying to: Exeter, Andover, and Deerfield (clich

Well said, sunshine. Maybe we’ll see you at NMH revisit day on Tuesday…

i’m new on CC and i dont know how to post my own thread.
???

I told you on the ultimate supply list for boarding school thread.

Hmmm…that prepreview thing has changed quite a bit this year. But you’re right, it is about fit. However, I’m perfectly happy with where my school is on the list :)

I am fascinated by this thread and would like to give a little "different " perspective on “prep school” . I have had two kids in private and one who graduated from a very good public high school(had absolutely NO interest in leaving his posse, club sports team, etc. now at a NESCAC).My take is probably exactly opposite from many on this thread. While the educations are great at these schools(no where are kids taught to write like private schools) if you are , somehow, focusing, on college admissions, and have this “dream” of ivy league, being a star at a public school might be more advantageous. When my daughter graduated Choate, in a class of about 200, I would guess 50 applied to Yale. Likewise for other Ivies(school gives out stats to parents).Choate gets probably 6 -10 accepted a year. At least 2-3 of those are athletes. In other words , unless you are at the VERY top of class, you are not walking into an IVY. Now, where I believe the true strength of preps are (beside , again, the great education provided) is for the kids who are not academic stars. The relationships with LACS and other schools certainly get kids in with stats that certainly wouldn’t get in from a public school. But be very careful if somehow you think top prep school = ivy. those days are history. Being a star at a good public is probably better for the admissions game than being just good at prep. one guy’s opinion.
