Preparation for College and Med School

I'm a high school junior interested in radiology. I understand the long process and work involved in the field. What should I start doing now and what steps should I take in college to pursue this career and enter into medical school?

Your goal right now is to study hard, learn the material well, and do well on your SATs. Apply to college sensibly, get into a school that you like and which provides you with good opportunities. Don't worry about anything besides being a high school student for now.

As for college, the Pre-med Topics Forum has a set of good threads on the subject. Start with the "FAQs" thread.

Some other helpful sites:
AAMC: Considering a Medical Career - The "official" site.
Alex's Illicit Guide to Medical School Admissions: a Trusted Source for Premed Students - This is a little outdated, but a good site anyways.
Pre-Med Manual - You'll find some good information here!
Student Doctor Network Forums - A great online community for doctors or future doctors. If you do create an account, please put "Carissa" as your referrer.

Basically, just look around CC and you'll find soooo much insight!
