<p>That aside, I’d like to advise the little warriors who are just beginning their long journeys down the path of the AP warrior. For the first AP test, it is always important to take the fight as it is and to keep it within reality. My first AP was APUSH and I had a mental breakdown in the weeks leading up to the test. This does not make for a clean battle. When I finally took up my arms and went in on that Friday morning, I found that the beast was not all that I had made it out to be. I was well-armed and ready. So mainly, I mean to say, don’t get freaked.</p>
<p>As for self-study, my first is still yet to come, but from what I can tell, the key to that is persistence. Learn the material early as quickly as you can and then build it up over the remaining time you have. Take practice tests and you’ll be fine. I’m taking a load next year, so I need to be prepared, as do all of you. (Of course on CC, I’m sure my list of APs is only moderately hard, lol)</p>

Junior: AP Gov, AP Psych
Senior: AP Eng, AP Bio, AP Chem, Possible AP Calc AB or Stats (2-3 undecided self-studies)</p>

<p>Something I found very helpful is to email other high school teacher who were teaching the same AP courses and asking to go to their AP Reviews.</p>
