I have a very, very minimal/weak foundation in Chemistry (the last Chem course I took was my sophomore year, and it was a non-AP course). Would you recommend going over some AP review books or even my old notes (if I can find them) to prepare for CHEM 2090? Or do most people go into CHEM 2090 with little/no chemistry background?

It basically assumes no background at all. You don’t even need to know what an atom is yet. When you start doing things in class, it’ll probably come back to you right away, so just enjoy your summer. If you get really bored maybe you can try looking over some oxidation or solubility rules.
