preparing for freshmen year (COE)

<p>I’m an international…accepted into the class of 2014</p>

<p>I haven’t decided my major. I am quite interested in CS, but aerospace engineering and electrical and computer engineering seem rather exciting too.</p>

<p>So right now I am playing with C and some non-mainstream game programming languages, hoping that some programming background knowledge (though not qualified by any AP exams…) should help in most of the courses at COE.</p>

<p>what else can I do to prepare for my freshman year?</p>

<p>to ppl who more or less decided to go to cornell COE (especially internationals), what are you guys doing to prepare for the academic/social life at cornell? </p>

<p>just drop any comments here…hope to know more ppl from class 2014 :slight_smile: </p>

<p>PS. different from domestic students, i’m actually having holidays right now. i should at least make this holiday productive…haha.</p>

<p>The best thing to do right now is probably to just enjoy the last summer you have before you are loaded with the burdens of a college student.</p>

<p>Most of your freshman year will be spent completing basic prerequisites if you’re in engineering. So brush up on your calculus, chemistry, and physics.</p>

<p>Oh man, I started watching his “Chaos” series, pretty interesting, I wish I had stuck with it.</p>
