Preparing?

I took the ACT+writing my freshman year in high school, and completely neglected to study. I had the little workbook that your counselor gives you, but I never used it, and never studied at all. I regret that now, having come out with a 26.

Now that I’m retaking it (February) I want to make sure I do better. But I’m no longer in public school, so I don’t know how to study for it, since I can’t pay for classes or anything. Help? Please?

The official guide has 5 practice tests - get that and study from it. If you want extra study materials but can’t afford them, I would try to see if you can get them from the library - you won’t be able to write in them obviously, but it would still be good study material.
