<p>This is my first time posting (so I apologize if this is the wrong section or something like that), but AP exams are rapidly approaching, and I was wondering if you could offer any advice for preparing for any of them.
AP Bio
-We have a really good AP Bio teacher.
-Textbook: Campbell’s Biology
APUSH
-We learn nothing. Last year, out of a 160 person class, I think 10 got 5’s.
-Textbook: America A Concise History
AP Art History
-We have a good teacher, but we started with the Proto-Ren.
-Stokstad, Hartt, Oxford, pretty much a combination because he has us do our own research. I rely mainly on Hartt but sometimes read Stokstad, although I find that it is generally less detailed and useful.
AP Lang and Comp
-We learn nothing. We just did a multiple choice practice, and it was a nightmare.
-No textbook, we actually do nothing in class, she just has us discuss books in groups (We really just talk about whatever we want though)
AP Spanish
-Our teacher is good, but, while our vocabulary is vast, it often does not coincide with the NSE or practice tests for the AP.
-Textbook: AP Spanish, usually none is used though
So do y’all have any suggestions for additional prep books, especially for APUSH and Art History because these are the exams I feel least prepared for? Thanks so much!</p>
<p>I feel your frustration- I have seen my kids go through some AWFUL teachers in their AP classes and in return were unprepared for the exams (my son actually cancelled a lot of his scores after sitting for the exams, I was quite upset we spent the money on the exam!)</p>
<p>My kids have used McGraw-Hill 5 Step’s to a 5 books and this year I enrolled my daughter in Revolution Prep AP Review Courses (she is taking the AP Bio final review)</p>
<p>Here are the links: [McGraw-Hill</a> Professional - 5 Steps to a 5 Series](<a href=“http://www.mhprofessional.com/category/?cat=3695]McGraw-Hill”>http://www.mhprofessional.com/category/?cat=3695)

<p>Hope that helps!</p>
<p>Thank you so much! I’ll definitely check out the Review Course.</p>
<p>APUS read history a lot, focus on learning how to write dbqs and analyzing cartoons, study using a review book</p>
