I have a 10th grader who is not a great test taker and has taken sat and act practice tests and has done about as equally well on both. With the changes to the SAT, would you recommend that we focus on ACT prep and forgo the SAT altogether?
There is more of a history with the ACT and more material available, so I would stick with it.
ACT is the best bet for the class of 2018.
Prep and see how he/she does on it, and use the new SAT as a backup.
If you are aiming for NM Scholarship, use the NEW prep materials for the SAT to prep for the PSAT 2016. The PSAT is already aligned with the new SAT.
