Good morning everyone! My name is Christopher and I am currently a second semester freshman at Washington & Jefferson College. I currently have a 4.0 (this may possibly change with calculus), and would like to ask about the California schools. I transferred to W&J from Coastal Carolina University after my first semester (long story short, I needed a challenge and get away from party schools). My high school GPA was a 4.15 (out of 4.0) and I understand that I will most likely not have to submit SAT/ACT scores with the amount of credit hours I have (36 I believe?). My calculus grade is currently a high C or low B, and I plan to retake if I get a C in the course.
I plan to go into a business/entrepreneur major with a minor in computer science. I decided to take Calculus I instead of Bus Calc because of the security reasons that Calc counts as Bus Calc, but not vice versa (in case I randomly switch majors or want to double major in computer science).
That being said, here are the schools I am looking into:
Pepperdine
UCLA
Loyola Marymount
USC
UC Irvine
UC Berkeley
Santa Clara University
The questions I have for your are:
Any prerequisites I should know of?
Any recommendations you have?
I plan to transfer in Spring 2016 and should be well prepared beforehand. I would rather steer away from state schools because of the massive chunk of tuition I would have because I reside in Pennsylvania. Feedback welcome with open arms!
