Prescription medication.

I take prescription medication, but my prescription is from an American doctor. Would it be possible to get it filled at a Canadian pharmacy? In Googling it I’ve found conflicting answers, so I was wondering if anyone had firsthand experience with this issue.

If I can’t get my prescription filled in Canada, what would the best option be then? I can only get three months of pills at a time, so it’s not an option to just bring as much as I need. Would it be possible for my parents to just mail it to me, or are there laws restricting that?

You can get a US prescription filled at a Canadian pharmacy, but I’m unsure if Blue Cross will pay for it.
You’re best bet would probably be to take the US prescription (make sure it uses the generic name, as the brand name is different depending on the country) to McGill’s health centre and have him write you a new prescription.

But I don’t know for sure; this is just what I would try.

Thanks for the advice, I might try that.
