Preserving Paper Back Books/Laminating

Hi parents. I have purchased Barron’s books before for AP Test preparation, the thing is as paperbacks they get damaged pretty easily, I see some kids and the front cover is all curled up and dirty. I want to keep mine intact.

For example, the ones at the library are laminated, that way they can handle wear and tear much longer. I bought the Con-Tact brand, it is good but not thick enough as I had hoped as the library ones.

Any tips for the best/strongest;thickest laminating paper brand/rolls?

Thanks!

Libraries don’t laminate, they one of these products: [Book Covers | The Library Store | 800.548.7204](http://www.thelibrarystore.com/category.jsp?path=-1|23268&id=83865)

Frankly, I wouldn’t bother unless you have five kids and they all plan to use them. These are the one set of books that I encouraged my kids to write in, underline and mark up.

Your right kathiep, I mean I don’t mind them underlining or highlighting because that is what they are for. I just dont want them to get all beat up that the pages get torn inside from spending too much time inside their backpacks, and they are much easier to clean as well that way. Thanks for the link and insight!
