<p>For anyone whose child in the past was named a Presidential Scholar by the Department of Education:</p>
<p>Does someone make the travel arrangements to Washington, D.C. for the student and teacher, or do they make their own, and get reimbursed? Do parents typically attend the ceremonies? Are travel expenses for a teacher’s spouse also paid?</p>
<p>A press release naming our child as a scholar has been received by the local media, but we have not received any information in the mail.</p>
