<p>I’m a candidate for this year’s Presidential Scholarship program. I was wondering if any parents of students who were past recipients/semifinalists of the Presidential Scholarship program had any tips/hints on the application. Feel free to list below. Thanks!</p>
<p>Uh . . . If you mean the Presidential Scholars program then do understand it is not a scholarship program but an honor. Many colleges offer what are called “presidential scholar” scholarships. Those are individual scholarships with various criteria and awards. The Presidential Scholar program is awarded to a single boy and a single girl in each state and basically provides a sort of alumni network throughout life. My kid was one and now that he’s getting a little older and wiser, he’s starting to tap into it more. No money for college though. :{ You do get to shake hands with the Pres.</p>
