<p>Hello, im a male junior, and i am a member of the Samohi Solar Alliance (an environmental club on campus). i am the leader of the “education committee” (one of 4 committees) and we teach middle-schoolers about being eco-friendly etc. Our club also started (and runs) a district wide “bike to school day”. The club recently received an award from and signed by Obama(i think the “presidential award”), and has been recognized at the city,discrict, and state level(CA). will these awards be helpful toward my application? or is it somewhat generic? i am interested in applying to some of the ivies (including yale). any further insight is appreciated.
