Pretty bad financial aid?

<p>So this is how my aid breaks down on GW’s portal"</p>

<p>Pres scholarship: $15,000
Alumni award: $18,400
Work study: 2,200
Loans: $7,900</p>

<p>totaling to $43,500. This isnt even enough for the cost of attendance. my EFC is only $7,700…</p>

<p>Strange considering NYU offered me full tuition and enough loans to take care of the rest. I sent an appeal email, do you think they will increase my aid? </p>

<p>I’m having a similar problem… When you appealed, do you mean you emailed them explaining your situation or was there some sort of specific form or process??</p>

<p>i just emailed them explaining my situation. And i sent a copy of NYU’s finaid</p>

<p>@sloth83 how can you view your Financial Aid? I thought it can’t be seen until April 4th. </p>

<p>The financial aid office told me they are unable to offer any more assistance. Try emailing the department head of the school you’re going to, or try emailing your local admissions officer. That’s what I’m doing now. Fingers crossed, good luck!</p>
