I’ve never understood why people who think a thread is silly or “senseless”, or who aren’t interested in the contents of the thread, will take the time to post a reply on the thread to inform everyone of that.

$3.65 at the local no-name, Cumberland Farms usually runs a couple cents cheaper.

Just passed same gas station in Tampa I bought gas this morning for $3.449; it’s priced at $3.429 now, which is 1 cent less per gal. than what I was paying last August 2011 (my post #140). Just like the good ole days!

Gas is pretty much gas- so it is easy to compare prices from other parts of the country.

But eggs however- you could buy a half dozen of factory raised eggs from chickens who don’t have room to standup, or you could buy eggs from [Vital Farms](http://vitalfarms.com/) where " the girls" are rotated onto fresh pastures to prevent over grazing and to get a change of scenery & loads of exercise.
Seriously- the half dozen eggs were the most expensive I have ever bought, but it came with a little newspaper! ( not why I bought them, but it was the only small container at the store)
My H & I almost died laughing.
They were good eggs though- practically indistinguishable from" the girls" that live on the other side of the fence.

Just thinking about this, though haven’t followed the thread. In WA state yesterday, paid $4.29 to fill up near SEATAC prior to dropping off the rental car. S side Seattle was higher, $4.39 in places. Back here in good old Wisconsin, the price is $3.65 at places I frequent. I understand 20 to 30 cents difference, but this seems like the widest spread I’ve ever seen. Why? Sympathies, EK. You’re perhaps paying for the gorgeous views of Rainier, and the balmy weather that I enjoyed.

Can’t tell you what gas costs - husband fills the cars. However, for the best eggs not far from you, Friday Harbour, San Juan Island. We stayed in a gorgeous lodge there on a lake with cabins and camping, too. It came with a buffet bkft, and one of the items was hard boiled eggs. Best eggs, ever! Lakedale Resort

I filled up yesterday - I didn’t even look at the price but the gas station across the street was $3.73 and the one I went to is usually a little less. So a big drop from last week. Even the really expensive place dropped about a dime. The cheapest place a mile away is probably 5 to 8 cents lower. We’re about to hit the summer driving season - it will be interesting to see whether that has an impact on prices (to go higher). I think that prices aren’t going to go higher given the relative weakness of the economy and the glut of product.

If anyone wants to buy gas for just 6 cents per gal., put an outboard motor on the back of your car and go down to Venezuela where the price is subsidized by the govt. People in Venezuela often tip the gas station attendants more than the price for filling up gas tank.

Just filled up for $3.59. Crude got hammered today and is down to $87/barrel.

I checked my March gasoline expenses: $410.
It looks like I will be spending about $190/month for the rest of the year.

I was driving crazy miles for the first five months and now that’s over. It’s nice that my driving is down and the price of gasoline is down. I wonder if crude gets down to the $70s - if Europe continues to drag out over the entire summer, maybe so.
