I have been recruited to wrestle at princeton. I have won two state titles in Ohio, and finished as a runner up once. Can I get in?

Thanks!

I just put up a similar thread with relatively comparable stats and asked about Princeton. Most Notably EMS experience - it is a huge commitment, but I haven’t heard how it affects others college chances, have you? Either way good luck

I’m not certain how favorabely EMS experience will be looked upon. I think it may carry more weight for someone who has a lot of science AP’s and wants to go pre med. In my situation I just thought it would be something fun to do, and ended up getting into it pretty intensely. In any case, it’s a fairly unique experience. Where else did you apply?

I got into Rutgers, and I applied to Princeton, Columbia, Cooper Union, and Cornell also. I’m probably going into engineering. I don’t want to be premed, I just thought it would be something unique and fun to do also. I’ve heard of some colleges that offer free or discounted room and board for EMTs that ride on their squad, unfortunately none that Im applying to, but I know that almost all colleges have squads that need to be filled.

well just on scores, you dont seem to be a match, especially with the SAT and GPA numbers. your essay seems very unique (as do you ECs). good luck though, princeton is extremely competitive (which im sure youve heard a million times).

if you have been recruited, then you should have no problem

If you get recruited you’re in. Otherwise on stats alone I’d say reject.

you’re probably in. for a recruit, you’re fine i’d say. definitely not a “dumb jock”

if your recruited, your definitely in. i suppose you probably have a really good idea of how much they want you.

i’d say recruited=accepted
