Princeton Class of 2029 Official RD Thread

This is the official discussion thread for Princeton Class of 2029 RD applicants. Ask your questions and connect with fellow applicants.

Coming here to say hello - my D25 was accepted & we’re still in shock but have already ordered a Princeton sweatshirt & c/o '29 tiger stuffed animal. Congrats to all the acceptances!

Apologies, I just realized this is an RD thread and not an accepted students thread - so, good luck to all applicants!

How bad is it that I forgot to submit my graded written paper until today?

You can upload it on the portal. No big deal!

Anyone got their Princeton RD interviews yet?

I applied for regular decision. Have not received an interview invitation. You?

RD from California. Applied after Christmas. No interview yet.

Yes, just this morning.

Congrats, gl
That’s a big opportunity

I would not stress over not having been offered an interview yet, interviews depend on the availability of alumni in your area

I just found out - Every one at my school who applied got interviews, I did not :sob:

I’m pretty sure they interview everyone as long as there are enough interviewers available. Yale is the only school I’ve heard of picking and choosing certain candidates to interview.

Mine is actually on Zoom so maybe they’re trying to get to everyone this year regardless of geography?

Depends region wise,
Matters a lot for internationals

I would just keep a close eye on your emails! Princeton’s website says even if you opted out of the interview in the Princeton Supplement it will not put you at any disadvantage.

I don’t believe this for a second. Like everything else, no optional material is truly optional. No, you don’t get disqualified for not having one, put the surplus of kids that submit all optional materials (like an interview) will present a clearer and fuller picture to admissions, and that is almost always and advantage.

Hi Everyone. Would love your feedback: I applied w/out submitting SAT. I’m 4.0UW/4.3W GPA, 5 AP’s where I’ve scored 4 on all of them, solid essays, submitted a 10 piece art portfolio, good letters of rec. I’m from New Mexico. I have a solid resume, but not ‘national’ at anything. Has anyone heard of someone as ‘regular’ as me getting in?

My twin sons had their interviews already earlier this week.
