The university sets a 100% interview goal every year and frequently achieves it. Having said that, many of us are just now getting our assignments and every year is different.
Breathe and enjoy your Senior year in High School! Easier said than done I realize, but please try not to let this occupy any more head space than absolutely necessary.
Moved here after deferral! Does anybody know the deferral rate (whether itâs real or predicted) at Princeton and what % of deferred students ultimately get in? If you donât have the stats but can speak anecdotally to this, go ahead!
Google âPrinceton and common data set.â Itâs published on a yearly basis. In this document you will see how many waitlisted applicants ended up being admitted every year.
Deferred is not WL. If deferred and accepted, it would just be part of the RD numbers. Deferred can be WL though I donât think its all that common. There is really no way to look into deferral numbers since the university doesnât publish them.
Deferred students do get accepted. I think there odd is as good as anyone else with similar stats on the the regular pool. Numbers are so low it doesnât make a difference, but a deferral means you are acceptable so your odds are probably above average, since the average includes plenty of kids that donât even get their name into the lottery had.
Honestly, there is no way to make a prediction. No surprise if he gets in, no surprise if he does not. Best plan is to just put it out of your mind, assume a no and get excited about whats in hand, end enjoy the good news if it comes on Ivy day.
Hi,
My S25, was not offered an interview at Princeton. Does it hamper his chances? Just curious about your experiences as an AO. How much of it is luck of the draw or is there a checklist that makes an applicant admissible.
